Electric coach stranded at Eden Project due to no charge points

A fully-electric coach has found itself stranded in Cornwall after being unable to charge at five different locations across the Duchy.

The Carbon Battle Bus is on a tour of the UK and this week travelled from London to Cornwall but was unable to complete its tour after finding charging points did not work.

It came to Cornwall to tie in with the G7 Summit in Carbis Bay where world leaders have been discussing climate change and the need to reach targets for zero carbon.

Planet Mark, the organisers of the Zero Carbon Tour, successfully travelled from London to the Eden Project, a distance of 263 miles with one recharge, in the electrically-powered Yutong coach.

However, in order to make the return leg through the South West of England the coach needs a recharge.

Is it time to push back …?

I’ve been away for a while due to personal issues that I won’t go into, but suffice to say I’ve not been hiding away and I’m fully aware of the ‘mental stuff’ that’s been going on in our society and across the world. For me I can hold my tongue no longer and intend to keep bashing away at my keyboard to put in my two penn’orth!

The catalyst for my engagement was the diabolical spectacle of police Officers, Politicians, Celebrities and the like prostrating themselves on their knees because of the untimely and tragic death of a career criminal and drug addict in America. It really has fuelled the most bizarre and bonkers behaviour from people who are displaying mental aberrations rather than reasoned and rational actions.

With the launch of GBNews today maybe it’s time we all did our bit to push back at this lunatic ‘wokeism’, virtue signalling, reverse racism and cancel culture which seems to have infected our society. I use the word ‘infected’ deliberately as, a bit like COVID-19, we are going to need a lot of vaccine to treat this infection, and it’s going to take a long time. Add into the mix the so called ‘Climate Emergency’ (sic) and we have a lot to push back against!

From ‘taking the knee’, Black Lives Matter, finding offence at the most purile of things, to the double standards and hypocrisy of the wokeists who believe a 15yr old girl who joined ISIS ‘didn’t know what she was doing’, but who castigate & cancel the career of a cricketer who at 17yrs of age made some minor offensive tweets nearly 10 years ago! They really need to take a long hard look in the mirror! It seems to me it’s the same people who say she ‘wasn’t old enough’ who also want votes for 16 yr olds. You couldn’t make this stuff up.

So I will be frequently (I hope) ‘sticking my oar in’ to the debates and putting across a bit of my own ‘down to earth’ common sense. At my age and with my life experience I know what I want and need to say, so stick around and have your say.
